Zach Lane, DVM, GDipVWHM, CVNN
Dr. Zach Lane is a Georgia native and grew up in Woodstock. From a young age, his love of animals and science sparked a passion for animal healthcare. That passion took him to Berry College in Rome, where he majored in Animal Science and Chemistry, and then to St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of Grenada. He completed his clinical training at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
During holiday breaks from school, Dr. Lane worked as a veterinary assistant in emergency and critical care. Upon graduation, he returned to his roots and began his career as an emergency veterinarian, gaining extensive experience managing complicated and unique medical cases.
During his time in emergency medicine, Dr. Lane honed his skills in triage, trauma management, and rapid decision-making by providing life-saving interventions for animals in critical situations. While he found this work deeply fulfilling, he felt a growing calling to focus on preventing patients from becoming so critically ill. This led him to transition into general practice, where he expanded his experience in preventive care, chronic disease management, and client education. Through this work, he developed a strong appreciation for building long-term relationships with pet owners and supporting patients beyond acute care. Over time, he also recognized the limitations of conventional treatments alone and the importance of addressing underlying imbalances to support long-term health.
Anyone who knows Dr. Lane knows that he is an avid gardener. Through his love of gardening, nature, conservation, sustainability, and science, he developed a clear vision for providing natural care for his patients. This led him to pursue advanced training in veterinary herbal medicine and naturopathic care. He immersed himself in the study of botanical medicine, phytochemistry, and traditional healing practices from around the world. Through rigorous coursework, mentorship, and hands-on experience, he has cultivated expertise in formulating personalized natural treatments tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
